Button Fault - Linea PB

The Linea PB features illuminated barista buttons to activate the brew groups in addition to a hot water button 'switch.' These interface buttons are a part of the DC circuit and, while robust and protected from the elements, are susceptible to shorts and faults caused by excessive liquid accumulation. This troubleshooting article will guide you through several symptoms, causes, and solutions to get the machine back up and running!

Symptom:
  1. Pressing a brew button causes machine to shut OFF.
  2. Barista buttons illuminate but do not function properly.
Causes:
  1. Liquid has breached the button membrane and accumulated around the DC connectors causing a short.
  2. Excessive liquid has spilt from the cup tray and dripped onto the DC button connectors.
  3. Failed control board.
Solution:
  1. Isolate button in the event of a single button fault.
  2. Contact support:
    1. Service Button Pad
    2. Replace Hot Water Button

Single Button Fault
Barista buttons function as isolated circuits and may fault independently. In this case, simply identify which button is causing the machine to shut off and place a note over the button to discourage use until technical support has been contacted.

Example: Button 2 is causing a short! Do not use!
