Mount Espresso Machine Pump

The Linea PB features an external pump to be mounted underneath the counter of each station during espresso machine installation.

Supplies:
  1. 16 x 8" Rigid Support
    1. If plywood, treat to resist moisture.
  2. 1-1/2" Hexhead Self Drilling Screws
  3. 1-1/4 Panhead Sheet Metal Screws
  4. Washers
  5. Zip Ties
Tools:
  1. Stud Finder
  2. Drill & Accompanying Bits
  3. Philips Screwdriver
  4. 8mm Hex Wrench

Linea PB External Pump
Black Rabbit Service recommends positioning the pump assembly as detailed in this guide. This orientation allows ease of access to pump adjustment screw, clean water line management, and safe positioning in the case of water leaks.
  1. Mount pump to FRP or sheet metal no greater than 5' from espresso machine & filtered water connection.
  2. Orientate pump motor horizontally and rotate pump head to allow access to the adjustment screw.

Step 1: Identify Surface Structure
7 Brew locations utilize either FRP or sheet metal as under counter splashguards.
  1. Contact GC & press against wall to verify rigidity:
    1. If interior paneling is supported by sheathing.
      1. Pump may be mounted directly into wall.
    2. If interior paneling is spongey...
      1. Locate studs and install a 16 x 8" rigid support panel to act as a solid mount base.

Step 2: Mount Pump
Locate a position underneath the espresso machine station:
  1. ≤ 5' from espresso machine & filtered water connection.
  2. Safe arrangement from electrical outlets.

Idea
Tech Tip! Disassemble pump motor from bracket to allow easier access to bracket slots.
  1. Two 8mm bolts secure pump motor to bracket.


Support Panel (No sheathing):
  1. Secure motor bracket to 16 x 8" water resistant panel using 1-1/2" Hexhead Self Drilling Screws & Washers.
  2. Locate studs and mount support panel to wall using 1-1/4" Panhead Sheet Metal Screws & Washers
Direct to Wall:
  1. Secure motor bracket wall using 1-1/2" Hexhead Self Drilling Screws & Washers.

Step 3: Orientate Pump
Rotate pump head at motor shaft connection by adjusting the collar.
  1. Loosen philips head collar screw and rotate pump head so it is perpendicular with motor.


Notes
